Personne n’aime prendre du poids. Sauf, bien sûr, les athlètes des Highland Games. Et ils le font même avec une certaine grâce en lançant ce poids un peu spécial qui ressemble pour certains à un bidon de lait un peu rond , très pratique pour faire tourner...

Epreuve 2 : Le marteau lourd

Chacun sait que c’est en forgeant qu’on devient forgeron et que, pour se distraire, le forgeron trouve toujours plus facile de lancer le marteau que l’enclume. Le lancer du marteau qu'il soit lourd ou léger vient, selon la légende, des distractions dominicales...

Event 2 : The heavy hammer throw

Legend has it that this event originated with Scottish smithies who, not content with pounding the hammer on the anvil all week, would keep their hand in on Sundays by seeing how far they could throw it! Nowadays Smithies and Smiths are as common as Browns...
