Women: a landslide victory for Stéphanie FREY
In the women's competition with nine throwers, Stephanie FREY from SWITZERLAND (sixth from left) won the five events and had an easy victory.
In the A competition, the former world champion Bruce AITKEN from Scotland is still the boss. He won the eight-event competition without real difficulty in spite of an opposition coming from Belgium.

French throwers are closing the gap
In the A competition, French champion Fabien PATHENEY finished 5th and Maxime BILLAUD, a Bressuire Bocker, finished sixth after beating a new French record: 12,33 meters for the light stone.
In the B competition Cyrille BOUCHER finished second, just behind Tom MISSOTEN from Belgium.
And Bastien CAIVEAU, only 18, finished 5th and could be a leader in France in the years to come.
With Wesley VERGER and Bastien, the new young throwers in France are very promising..
Urs ZENTNER from Switzerland won the Masters with Alexandre WENDLING from Germany, second and Bernd WOLF from Germany, third.
