A trophy for the Bressuire Highland Games

The Bressuire Highland Games have just been awarded a trophy by la Nouvelle Republique, a regional French newspaper.

The jury chose our Games as the 2017 Top Event promoting tourism in our departement, les Deux-Sèvres.

A Top Event, a Long Story

After staging the IHGF World Championship at the castle in 2015, Bressuire will host the European Championships on June 10 and 11.

The love story between our city and the Highland Games started more than twenty years ago thanks to the twinning between Bressuire and Fraserborough in Scotland.

And our Highland Games story is particularly rich (just a click on STORY) with the crème de la crème of international Heavies throwing in Bressuire

Three presidents for a trophy

The two new president Alain ROUSSELOT and Jean-Claude BORDONNAT and former president Jean-Louis COPPET were delighted to be given this trophy.
