For Jean-Louis COPPET, the manager of the IHGF European Championship in Bressuire, Vlad TULACEK was a three-star favourite in the previous post: Profiles and Odds.

After the first day of the competition, it proves to be true. Vlad is clearly the number one on the field.

He has won three of the four events: light stone, light hammer, and caber-tossing and he finished third at the heavy weight for distance.

2017 06 HG samedi 062With only 6 points, Vlad TULACEK is leading the overall competition with two tied seconds: Lorne COLTHART, winner of the heavy weight and Seb WENTA, very regular in his throws.

After the first day, the competition isn't over yet because these two are only four points behind

Keg over bar: an exceptional new record

In a fantastic competition with Rafal KOBILARZ from Poland, Vlad highlighted his day with a new record in a typically French event: keg over bar.

The former Bressuire record by Dan Mc KIM was 5,11 meter and Vlad absolutely crashed it with an unbelievable 5,45 meters.

That's roughly speaking one foot higher.

In front of an excited crowd, it was an amazing moment and we can't wait to watch and comment the weight over bar event tomorrow: it will be thrilling...

The Bressuire record (5m10) is in real danger if the challenge between Vlad TULACEK and Rafal KOBYLARZ is of the same kind..

Stay tuned. That's a fantastic competition once more in Bressuire, France
