Bressuire new records (2) Cork-throw
Want to know about the Bressuire cork-throw with spectacular photos by Marie-Claire GIRAUD?
The recipe is quite easy...
Just take a giant cork weighing 12,7 kilos (28 Ib).
Add some natural strength and impetus!
The Braemar way
Throw the cork as far as you can.
But you must do it the Braemar way without any rotation.
And you know what?
You get one of the two Bressuire special events.
The first one is the Coreff keg and it's just like the weight for height. Just a click if you want to kow what it's like: Coreff keg over bar
A sparkling event
The second one is called cork-throw and it's sponsored by Chapin-Landais, a sparkling Saumur wine-maker in the Loire valley
And you don't throw it over bar. You just throw it for distance
This is what the 12 competitors did on Saturday afternoon under the sun.
But before throwing it, they just wanted to see it, touch it, feel it
Isn't that true, Jono and Dan?
But they also threw it: with Patience for Sinclair and with full power for Seb WENTA
Three new Bressuire records in the same competition
And they competitors did well.
Very well!
The official record (10,10 m by Scott RIDER in 2010) tumbled three times during the Worlds in Bressuire
First Lucasz WENTA threw it à 10.16 m ( 33'3,9")
Then Matt DOHERTY improved this new record a few minutes later : 10,33 m (33'10,6")
And finally, the Sebastian WENTA from Poland threw it further away: 10,46 m (34'3,7")
And he broke the Bressuire record once more...
Congrats, everybody!

Thanks, Marie-Claire GIRAUD for the photos
EPILOGUE:
Well done, Sebastian!
You throw the cork and you get the bottles
That's good to be the best cork-thrower:
The Chapin-Landais bottles are yours!
Sparkling, isn't it?
Cheers!
