A vintage party for the volunteers
It is now a tradition for the AJEF to organize a party to thank the volunteers for all the hard work they put in before, during and after the Highland Games weekend.
Last Saturday, this year’s volunteers had a special treat: an evening at the wine cellars of Bouvet Ladubay, the sparkling wine producer, Highland Games sponsor and inspiration for the unique Bressuire Highland Games event: tossing the cork .
And what a corker of an evening it was!
After the traditional photo of the fellows in yellow – not forgetting the ladies in lemon – the volunteers were taken underground for a tour of the wine cellars before surfacing for cocktails and a meal by candlelight in the galleries.
The bagpipes played, the Bouvet Ladubay flowed and a great time was had by all.
In June Bressuire hosted the World Series, on Saturday Bouvet Ladubay played host to the host of volunteers. With sparkling wine for sparkling enthusiasts!
A vintage party to round off a vintage year!
